THE ZINA GARRISON ACADEMY PRESENTS: FREE FUNDAY IN MACGREGOR PARK IN HOUSTON OCTOBER 28TH

Legendary award-winning tennis player, Zina Garrison, will host a community Funday at MacGregor Park on October 28, 2017 from 9am-4pm. Funday In The Park is a way for Houstonians affected by Hurricane Harvey to relax, release and find relief.

“I know how much people in the community surrounding MacGregor Park, Sunnyside and beyond have suffered. I too lost everything during Harvey. It’s been stressful but we are ‘Houston Strong’ and what better way to celebrate than a mega-watt party in the park. We want entire families to come out to this free event and just enjoy. Bring blankets and lawn chairs and we’ll supply the rest.” said, Garrison.

Featured activities for Funday In The Park include:

▪️A kick off with a 5K walk for health and wellness hosted by Olympians, Carl Lewis, and Zina Garrison

▪️Performances by Houston’s own Kiland Band, The Royal Duchess Step Team, and local/national talent

▪️Interactive kid zones

▪️Food Trucks

▪️An exciting slam tennis experience

▪️Rolling art with Houston’s best art cars

▪️TSU Tiger baseball game

▪️Basketball clinics hosted by John Lucas and Clyde Drexler

▪️Social services for Harvey victims provided by healthcare professionals and vendors
