We’re almost there as we reach the grand opening of Tiana’s Palace, a quick-service restaurant, opening on Sept. 7 at Disneyland Park. Tiana’s Palace is Inspired by the Walt Disney Animation Studios film “The Princess and the Frog,” the reimagined restaurant will serve authentic New Orleans flavors inspired by Tiana’s friends and adventures.
A representative from Disneyland states that the restaurant will embody the unique flavor and flair of New Orleans, as well as sourcing a few ingredients from the state of Louisiana to bring the experience of arriving at Disney’s “The Princess and the Frog,” from Tiana’s story perspective.
The colors of Mardi Gras will be embodied in the tables and chairs, plus story items galore will be on display such as Tiana’s cookbook and the special ladle she used to make her father’s famous gumbo will be available to view for Disneyland Parks guests.
As a prelude to the opening Disneyland revealed the menu for Tiana’s Palace and surprisingly has an offering of 7 Greens Gumbo which is a Plant Based dish version of Gumbo that has piqued my interest. The 7 Greens Gumbo features white beans, okra, yams, sweet potatoes and heirloom rice. Check out more dishes from the menu here courtesy of Disneyland Parks.
