McDonald’s recently marketed a free McNugget Caviar Kit that took social media by storm. What some thought as a great opportunity to try this popular trend of eating chicken nuggets with caviar as great promo, turned out be a McDisaster.
Unbeknownst to many, according to the fine print within the rules and eligibility terms McDonald’s only offered 750 kits to the first individuals who completed the claim offer online. Out of the thousands and possibly millions of people that were online to grab the kits, the odds of winning were similar to finding a needle in a haystack. And the website crashed immediately after the countdown which made the process quite frustrating and disappointing for many.
The free kit gift included one (1) container of McNugget® Caviar from Paramount Caviar, creme fraîche, a Mother of Pearl caviar spoon, a custom pairing card and a $25 Arch Card® to purchase fresh nuggets from McDonald’s.
Although McDonald’s missed the mark with this marketing campaign, you can create your own kit and tailor it your liking of how caviar can enhance your palate. This DIY Nugget Caviar Kit is for individuals that are new to the caviar world and would like to try the trend for themselves.
