As a connoisseur of flavorful foods, I appreciate the various cultures that make our world a big beautiful melting pot of goodness. Tex-Mex, a blend of Texas and Mexican cuisine, is an all-time favorite food experience I will forever treasure in the Lone Star State.
One dish in particular that I enjoy is Elote or also known as Mexican Street Corn. If you’ve never experienced buying Mexican Street Corn from a little sweet man or woman riding on a cart, I encourage you to do so one day. The multitude of flavors, selections, and toppings are endless with loads of fun plus, you get to support a family’s small business too.
During a pandemic, we may be limited to the availability of going out to get the treats we all desire; however, you can create a tasty masterpiece at home. Food has been a hidden passion for years, and my family had a catering business when I was young. It wasn’t until I was stuck in the house with my youngin that my love for cooking returned.
Therefore thanks to the overwhelming response from my TikTok video, here is a little remix recipe I created titled “Cajun Elote” that you can try at home. Play with the ingredients by adding a little or a lot of what you desire. Have fun and enjoy it!
