Houston Astros Advance To The World Series

If you watched Game 6 of the ALCS last night, you witnessed an exhilarating 9th inning battle between the Houston Astros and New Y9rk Yankees as they competed for advancement to the World Series. At first, the Astros were sitting pretty with a leading score of 4 – 2 at the beginning of the 9th inning. Then with one out and only two more to go before a celebration could begin, closing Astros pitcher Roberto Osuna threw a pitch that helped the Yankees tie up the game with a two-run homer.

My nerves were on edge and I could not fathom our home team traveling back to the Bronx to face a crowd that puts the word rude and classless on a whole new scale. One Astros fan, Cruz Arcia Jr.,  and his group of friends attended game five in New York and had beer and popcorn thrown all over them. It was absolute mayhem for no reason at all except representing your team with pride. Thankfully, Cruz and his friends were safely escorted away to a better situation as shown below.

Houston Astros pitcher Lance McCullers Jr. heard about the incident and gave a phenomenal gesture of inviting Cruz to the World Series once he and the boys took care of business.

As a promise kept, the Houston Astros defeated the Yankees in Southern Hospitality style as Jose Altuve  knocked out a two-run homer at the bottom of the ninth inning to give a 6 – 4 winning score. Minute Maid Park was in absolute pandemonium and the City is still floating on cloud nine as we prepare for another World Series run within a three year time frame.

The new dynamic duo of Houston basketball, James Harden and Russell Westbrook, attended last night’s game with Houston Rockets owner Tillman Fertitta as they rallied with the crowd to help bring another championship home. We pray the Rockets will use this win as inspiration to finally bring a third championship to the basketball franchise too.
