The 2020 American Music Awards Highlights

Last night, the “2020 American Music Awards” (AMAs) aired live on Sunday, Nov. 22, at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California. Emmy nominated, and Golden Globe-winning actor, writer, and producer Taraji P. Henson hosted the event with star-studded celebrity guests, nominees, and winners.

Taraji P. Henson opened the show with a hilarious choreography tribute to some of the hottest music and dance crazes that have us moving during the pandemic. Although a full audience is not allowed to attend the ceremony, a small group of attendees gave cheers, socially distanced from a Microsoft Theater balcony.

For those unaware of The Weeknd’s costume antics, we were wondering online if he had fallen and developed difficulty to get up. We learned that his bandages represent his album’s visual artistry and Hollywood’s obsession with plastic surgery.

Overall, The 2020 American Music Awards” brought a little life and laughter to viewers at home as we continue to cope with handling our lives safely during a pandemic. View highlights from the show and backstage interviews from Lil Baby, Ciara, Nelly, and Bebe Rexha. Congratulations to all of the winners and performers.
