The University of Louisville recently announced in collaboration with the its Black Student Union, a Breonna Taylor Memorial Scholarship Nursing Fund. The scholarship is a four-year renewable award that will cover full tuition and fees. Future recipients of this honor are focused on the demographic of a Black female Kentucky resident.
In case you may not know the significance of whom this award is named after, Breonna Taylor was a 26-year-old E.M.T. employee whose life was unjustly taken on March 13 by the hands of Louisville police officers. For more information on this case read about Breonna’s story here.
To contribute to the Breonna Taylor Scholarship Fund all are asked to donate here. Visit the Change.org petition to sign and create a call-to-action for justice in Breonna Taylor’s case.
