Suppose you’re an avid viewer and fan of the Real Housewives of Atlanta series on the BRAVO television network. If so, it’s no secret that Porsha Williams’ engagement to Simon Guobadia became an uproar in May 2021 when the internet, airwaves, and television screens abruptly spread with opinions concerning this astonishing announcement. Months later, Porsha also announced that she would not return for the 14th season of the Real Housewives of Atlanta. Many people are pretty disappointed to hear of this departure, but it makes sense. Porsha should be applauded for having the opportunity to utilize a different platform to tell her full side of the story. Therefore Bravo gave the green light to run a limited series allowing a behind-the-scenes look of how this all came about and how it is currently playing out.
Bravo provided Glitter&Gumbo an exclusive opportunity to review the first episode of “Porsha’s Family Matters,” and it is a must-watch reality television series. So many questions are being answered in the first episode alone, so you can only imagine the reveal after episode one.
Porsha’s close-knit family, including ex-fiance Dennis, have a lot more common sense than we give them credit for possessing. One thing’s for sure, Porsha’s family will always support her in the good, bad, and ugly decisions she has or will continue to make as a grown woman. Everyone deserves to have this type of unconditional love. Likewise, the crew will always be by her side to catch the fall, tripping, or boo-boos she may receive from being a hopeless romantic in love.
And now I present four a-ha moments that made caught my attention and you can most certainly look forward to when “The Real Housewives of Atlanta Porsha’s Family Matters,” premieres on Sunday, November 28 at 9pm ET/PT.
Dennis is No Longer A Menace
The relationship Dennis shares with his daughter Pilar and Porsha’s mother is precious. Dennis appears to be a cool dude amongst this roller coaster Porsha has uncovered and continues to operate despite his past cheating behavior history. Porsha’s first cousin/event planner Londie makes her debut in the series and gives a profound statement when she says, “Even though she wants to fully let go, she can’t.”
A Picture Is Worth More Than A Thousand Words
The picture that tore up the internet isn’t all peaches and cream. We get a better understanding of how the image of Simon + Porsha + Dennis came about. And when I tell you this background information is necessary to know for the build-up of this fairytale engagement, you will say to yourself, “Okay, I get it now.” Understood.
If 1+1=2 and 2+2= 4 WTH Is This?
This TikTok viral sound immediately popped into my head during a scene when Lauren and Dennis met up for lunch. You all better get out your mental calculators because the timeline of this first meeting and engagement between Simon and Porsha is a doozy.
God Bless The Child That’s Got His Own
I believe Porsha is a wise businesswoman, and I’m praying that she keeps the house that she owns in Duluth, Georgia, plus any other assets in her name only. Any assets obtained if/after Simon and Porsha officially walk down the aisle is a fair deal, in my opinion, I’m just saying.
