Week 2: Top 5 NFL Moments

Quarterback Kings of the Week: Ryan Fitzpatrick & Patrick Mahomes
In the outfit above, Ryan Fitzpatrick reminds me of the “Playa from the Himalayas” Jerome character from the television series MARTIN?. He is so cool with his swag that its undeniable and well earned. Although Fitzpatrick originally started off as a backup Quarterback he is certainly making his presence known loud and clear in the NFL.
In the words of LL Cool J, “Don’t call it a comeback cuz I’ve been here for years.” In his 14th season Fitzpatrick completed 402 passing yards in game 2 against the Philadelphia Eagles and has thrown a total of 9 TDs in two weeks. The Buccaneers starting QB, Jameis Winston, is still on suspension due to personal misconduct. I wouldn’t be surprised if some interesting changes are made on the Buccaneers roster once Winston returns.
Quarterback Patrick Mahomes is setting the Kansas City Chiefs ablaze effortlessly. On Sunday he made NFL history as the first player to throw 10 TDs through the first two games of a season. Many are saying Mahomes is the new Deshaun Watson and I am extremely impressed. The Chiefs have a new voice in the league.
2.) Who Gon’ Check Me Boo? Vontae Davis Edition
Have you ever wanted to just get up and quit your job right in the middle of a shift? Truth be told, many of us have had those moments in life. Well, Buffalo Bills Cornerback Vontae Davis had the courage to do the unthinkable and left during the middle of a football game. And thereafter leaving the stadium Davis announced his retirement from the NFL too.
I guess you can say he’s had enough and there are times in your life when holding on only makes things worse. I am reminiscing upon an Atlanta Housewives episode when reality star Sheree Whitfield stated her infamous line, “Who gon’ check me boo?” Meaning, I’m my own boss and I can do what I want. Davis is more than likely unbothered about the opinion of others and is more focused on his well-being. He shared a statement about his decision to teammates and fans above.
3.) Texans 0-2 Record is Dismal
At the moment the Houston Texans appear to be falling into a slump that is heartbreaking. The team that was once considered a Super Bowl contender and possessing the top Quarterback in the league over the summer, now appears to vanish like a sad magic trick. Are the Texans totally out of the picture this season? Absolutely not. If they don’t shape up and ship out this bad communication and mysterious O-line confusion, Houston will have some serious problems going forward. NASA won’t be able to help us out of this space age madness if it continues.
4.) Josh Gordon Traded to the New England Patriots
After a surprising twist in the betterment of serving Josh Gordon’s physical and mental health needs, the Cleveland Browns trade WR Josh Gordon to the New England Patriots. Rumors have been swirling and I pray that Gordon is at peace and in a great state of mind. It will be interesting to see how Belichick plugs him into their offense. He still adds a lot of volume to a team and only time will tell how far he goes with this new team.
5.) Keelan Cole Jaguars Amazing Catch
In case you missed the New England vs. Jacksonville Jaguars game on Sunday afternoon, 2nd Year player and WR Keelan Cole made an unbelievable catch yesterday. It was quite reminiscent of Odell Beckham’s catch in the game against the Cowboys. This young extraordinaire is a must-add on fantasy leagues. Thankfully I already have him on my roster. Can’t wait to see more great games featuring this dynamic standout.
