The 2021 ESPYS were held live on ABC Saturday, July 10, 2021, on The Rooftop at Pier 17 at the Seaport in New York City. This year’s host, Anthony Mackie, and special guests celebrated the achievements of leading sports figures who have impacted many people worldwide with their respective sports talent of choice.
The 2021 Scripps National Spelling Bee Champion Zaila Avant-garde also attended the ESPYS event and was honored by host Anthony Mackie with special recognition in his opening monologue.
