Correction: Curtis “50Cent” Jackson and the G-Unity Foundation made an initial donation of $300,000, which will be matched by the school district for a total of $600,000 towards the entrepreneur program.
Curtis “50-Cent” Jackson is making a significant impact in the community after announcing his residency within the Bayou City. During a recent press conference held at the City of Houston, 50Cent gave a $300,000 check to help launch an inaugural G-Star Program that will benefit youth in Houston ISD.
Students from Worthing, Wheatley, and Kashmere high schools will have access to the G-Unity Business Lab that will provide mentorship from 50Cent and paid internships to help future minority-owned businesses in Houston.
Congratulations to the students in the Houston schools feeder pattern that will benefit greatly from this donation. Thank you, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, for using your platform and philanthropy work to help our minority youth succeed.
