Many of the stars dazzled and shined bright at the 76th Annual Golden Globe Awards on Sunday, January 6, 2019 at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Hosts Sandra Oh and Adam Samberg brought a few laughs however, the significance of a historic moment could not be silenced. Sandra Oh embraced her fear and stood tall with tears in her eyes, as she became the first Asian American to host the Golden Globe Awards.
Actress Regina King, winner of Best Supporting Actress – Motion Picture for IF BEALE STREET COULD TALK gave a riveting acceptance speech. King vowed within the next two years that she would work towards hiring at least 50% women for her production projects.
Glen Close, winner of Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama for THE WIFE, moved the audience and viewers at home with a story about her mother. Close encouraged women everywhere to go after your dreams and live a fulfilling life.
