Popular children’s author Dav Pilkey introduced his first epic film, CAPTAIN UNDERPANTS which arrived in theaters June 2, 2017. Some of your favorite comedians such as Kevin Hart, Jordan Peele, Ed Helms and others can be seen portraying the roles of the hilarious characters from the popular book series.
This film won’t disappoint fans as pranksters George, the storyteller, and Harold, the comic illustrator, bring us into their world at Jerome Horwitz Elementary School. Their school principal is cranky as usual and not in the mood for running a fun and spontaneous environment.
Thankfully the fun begins when Harold and George come up with an ingenious idea to ruin a fellow classmate’s greatest invention. From there the mayhem begins and CAPTAIN UNDERPANTS is revealed with his tra-la-la antics. Unfortunately his heroic effort doesn’t match against the powers of some famous super heroes we all admire. Then, Professor Poopy Pants enters the movie and everyone is put to the test of defending their land against a strange antagonist.
Overall my munchkin really enjoyed the movie and found it quite entertaining. This was also a great opportunity for us to discuss why rules in school are important, and the idea of having fun all the time may not work out in our favor.
