Entertainment In the Pot Movies

A Month Of Love Movie Suggestions

Hopefully, in the year 2021, you’ve reached the land of celebrating love as an action word that all can experience, whether as a couple or alone. If not, movies provide a great activity to watch as you live vicariously through the characters and try not to fall into an awkward abyss. The following films represent some of my favorites in the newbies plus old goodies category.

You Make My Heart Flutter

Sometimes you come across a movie that is so romantic and heart warming that you forget about all your past relationship troubles. SYLVIE’S LOVE is a film that makes you feel love all over again as if it were the beginning of a brand new start. Robert and Sylvie had me all in my good feelings, and it was a joy to behold. Where To Watch: Amazon Prime Video

Heartbreak Redemption

If you’ve ever encountered a broken heart due to the misfortune of a cheating spouse, partner, or boyfriend, the UNDER THE TUSCAN SUN is an old classic that will help you realize there is joy on the other side of pain if you’re willing to take a leap of faith. Where To Watch: Amazon Prime Video.

If You Love Bad Boys

If you’ve ever been in a relationship with someone as wrong as wearing two left shoes, then hopefully, you’ll identify with Claire in the Netflix film series LUPIN. The main character Assane Diop is a fine chocolate brother who is smart, intelligent, and a thief. LOL. Sometimes you’ll get suckered into his charm or swoon as he appears so smooth in his high-top Jordan sneakers or a two-piece suit. Then you’re reminded how easy it is for him to be a crook effortlessly. Yet, his adventures in this series are so intriguing and exciting to watch. Season 2 arrives in Summer 2021. Where To Watch: Netflix

Bridgerton is another film series that unexpectedly caught my attention. Prince Simon is a man to behold with a stubborn countenance that is sexy. If only he will open his heart and allow Daphne Bridgerton to fully love him beyond his past of traumatic pain. This is the case of another bad boy that will have you singing, “If loving you is wrong, I don’t want to be right.” Season 2 is coming soon, and I can’t wait. Where To Watch: Netflix

The One That Got Away

BROWN SUGAR is a hip-hop love story near and dear to my heart because Taye Diggs and Sanaa Lathan are so cute together in this film. When friends become lovers, the theme flows among a group of successful Black men and women as they try to navigate through their existence in life. This film is fun, comedic, and a message to fight for what your heart truly wants. Available To Watch: Cinemax
