AT&T presents DIRECTV NOW Super Saturday Night featuring Taylor Swift
GlitterandGumbo.com received an invite-only opportunity to watch the lovely Taylor Swift headline her first DIRECTV NOW Super Saturday Night and it was amazing. DIRECTV NOW Super Saturday Night, which was held this year at Club Nomadic in Houston, TX, has become known as the crown jewel of parties leading up to the Big Game.
Club Nomadic is an entertainment experience that is specifically created and built to travel across the country for marquee events and destinations. This year for Super Bowl LI, Houston had the privilege of witnessing this grand production from beginning to end.
Due to the nature of the event, street closures were enforced as attendees researched alternate forms of transportation to reach the venue. Thankfully, I parked at the 1600 Smith Garage and rode the shuttle to Club Nomadic. This ride-share program that is offered to guests is really nice and convenient.
After a moment or two of waiting, the time finally came for us to enter the venue and it was absolutely magical. The lighting, video, and sound captivated you as walked into Club Nomadic. DJ Ruby Rose showcased her skills and had the crowd moving with her eclectic sound of hip-hop and pop. I really appreciated hearing a techno version of a Notorious BIG track that had me enjoying the mesh of music.
Then the moment we were all waiting for arrived as Taylor Swift appeared on the stage in a glittery black bodice with fringe. It was divine. Her background singers also wore these amazing shiny sequined jackets that had me proud to be representing GlitterandGumbo.com with an artist that believes in showing some bling.
The 10-time GRAMMY® award-winner captivated over 9,000 attendees with hit songs including “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever” (Fifty Shades Darker), “Better Man,” “Blank Space” “22” and my favorite “I Knew You Were Trouble.”
Taylor revealed some interesting news to the crowd of fans when she said, “By coming to this show tonight you are attending 100% of this year’s tour dates.” Therefore Houston, Texas received a special performance treat that no other city in the country will have for 2017. How incredible is that?
Overall, Club Nomadic is a sight to see and I encourage everyone who has the opportunity to visit this venue to do so when it arrives near you. Taylor did a phenomal job and I look forward to learning more about her projects for 2018.
