Elle Magazine’s Beyoncé Interview Top 3 Takeaways

Beyoncé Knowles-Carter, my fellow Virgo Queen, debuts her new partnership with Adidas and unveils the rebirth of her clothing brand, IVY PARK. As the January 2020 cover feature, Beyoncé gave an exclusive interview to Elle magazine and opened up about her life, career, and journey through motherhood.

Here are my personal top 3 takeaways that spoke to me, and the area of development I’m trying to unfold.

1.) Giving Zero ?s Hero

When a woman reaches a certain age in life, her predecessors will often exclaim the exact sentiment of no longer caring about the opinions of others. This pinnacle of establishment has reached my door and its freedom now rests on my shoulders. There is no greater love or feeling than walking in your truth regardless if anyone likes it or not. Beyoncé spoke all kinds of truth in this statement and I wholeheartedly agree.

2.) Creating A Legacy Focus

When you have kids or a family, your focus should shift to a long term standpoint of creating a legacy that will affect generations. Always vying for a number one position can be exhausting. Our energy is best served when our children can benefit from our creativity and seeing the value of our existence for years to come. A legacy is the status that is highly underrated and hardly ever duplicated. Bravo to Beyoncé for highlighting the true meaning of a Queen ?.

3.) Self Care Goddess Reigns Supreme

Another liberating factor when you are maturing as a woman, is recognizing that rest is good for your body and soul. There’s a meme floating around that states as you get older, when your body’s check engine light comes on it’s time to listen. We can no longer afford to eat whatever we want and not suffer the consequences of our actions. Being careful of the ingredients and medications that are placed in our bodies is vital to longevity in life. Self care should no longer be treated as a to-do list item, but a daily necessity to keep us moving in the right direction.
