FIVE TAKEAWAYS FROM THE TEXANS vs. NEW ENGLAND WEEK 2 PRESEASON GAME 2017

1.) The WR Bruce Ellington pick-up is genius. The tenacity and effort he put into his playing time yesterday was phenomenal. He made himself seen, and I do believe Houston is looking forward to watching Bruce at NRG Stadium on September 10.

2.) D’Onta Foreman is continuously proving that he is the future running back for our team. The way he maneuvers and dodges his opponents for extra yards is breathtaking at times. I look forward to adding him to my fantasy league, while admiring his fancy footwork.

3.) Tom Savage and Deshaun Watson are waking up this Texans team and I’m all for it. I don’t want to get into the “Who should be our starting quarterback” game, due to the fact that both players did a decent and commendable job against New England. Whom ever the organization decides, I feel confident that we are good in this area.

4.) Team work makes the dream work, and I saw a lot of players stepping up on offense and defense week 2. It is refreshing to see the hunger in a successful man’s actions when he desires to make the 53 man roster. Although Week 1 was a ball of confusion, week 2 is shaping into a little football chemistry.

5.) New England has consistently proven time and time again that until that clock hits 0:00 in the 4th quarter, don’t count them out. With less than 53 seconds in the 4th quarter, New England was inching their way to a game winning touchdown. Thankfully our Texans defense put a stop to their miracle madness and shut it down. I don’t care if it’s a preseason game, New England is competitive too and they want to win by all means necessary.

??Congratulations to Texans offensive lineman, David Quessenberry, who overcame his battle with cancer and therefore played his first NFL game yesterday after a three year hiatus. We salute you and say, “Welcome Back!”
