Glitter-In-Your-Ear: Alix Goffic Reveals Debut Single “Lanmou”

Now and then, I love it when a song comes along to help me reach back into the effervescence of youth. The feeling of nostalgia envelopes the mind and causes my heart to smile with joy. Musician and composer, Alix Goffic’s debut single, “LANMOU” did just that for me so it is only right that I pass this musical gem on to you.

Born as a French Guiana native, Alix Goffic enters the music world as a solo artist blending a genre of Hip-Hop and Jazz that permeates your ears with goodness. This multi-generational track Alix created transcends its purpose of diving deep into the hearts of those willing to listen.

As a man with many talents, Alix embraced his love of music when he began playing drums at the age of 6-years-old. He therefore continued his path of knowledge by earning a Masters degree from the Berklee College of Music with a focus on Contemporary Performance. “LANMOU“ is a distributive wealth of sound history that should garner Goffic attention in this industry.

In the evolution of music that often changes and sometimes stays the same, it is refreshing to hear an artist remain true to their authentic gift. Alix is also set to release an upcoming project with bandmates QNA, Shouthouse and Reggae band Royal KhaoZ.

Don’t just take my word for it. Listen to the debut single “LANMOU” below and enjoy.

About Alix Goffic
Alix Goffic is the consummate Caribbean musician. Like the Caribbean itself, he sits at the nexus of American, European, and Pan-African music traditions. Starting drums at the age of 6, Alix grew up immersed in the various regional Caribbean music (zouk, calypso, and reggae) as well as American music (hip hop, R&B, soul). But his hunger for music found him eventually studying under the jazz masters such as the 2009 Smithsonian Legacy Award winning Danillo Perez, and two-time Grammy Award winning John Pattitucci; ultimately attaining a masters from Berklee College of Music. In addition to his drum set expertise, he is also a hip hop producer. This combination of a mastery in jazz and Caribbean/American music makes up the DNA of his unique style of playing, a style that reflects his cultural background. He now resides in New York City, and his work has been featured on international platforms such as The New York Times, NPR, and France Television.
