Glitter&Gumbo attended a virtual press conference for the Lifetime Original Series Little Women: Atlanta, whose season six premiere airs Friday, January 22, at 9 PM ET/PT. It is refreshing to see how these phenomenal women are using a reality television platform to expand awareness of the Dwarfism community and express how “Little Women” have prominent personalities that can change the world.
Ms. Juicy, Monie, and Abira spoke with the press virtually to share a little insight on the development of Little Women: Atlanta as they deal with the tragic passing of late castmate, Minnie (Ashley Ross), who lost her life in April 2020 due to a car accident. “We have to go through the realization that our friend is no longer here,” stated Ms. Juicy, who at times became speechless when talking about Minnie’s presence on the show. Abira directly exclaimed that everyone is continually healing from Minnie’s passing and will continue to do so during this difficult time.
For those unaware, Ms. Juicy received congratulatory acknowledgments on her promotion of being named the executive producer for Little Women: Atlanta season six. When asked about the challenging role of juggling two positions at once, Ms. Juicy explained, “Seeing all the ladies developing who they are and no one else is doing it for them..” delivers the outcome that this production is worth the pain.
One thing for sure is that Abira is working towards a better outlook of how her life is broadcast to the world. Known on television for being a rambunctious castmate that usually stirs up the drama and brings the heat, as a busy mother of four, Abira desires to turn over a new leaf of light and transparency.
When Abira was asked about her musical aspirations and potential collaboration in the future with the Tiny Twin: Amanda & Andrea, I laughed out loud at how direct she was by using the word, “No!” Basically, the end of thinking these three women can come together for unity is closed. Hopefully, their rift will mend in the future. Monie returns for season six, and she looked great sporting her fashion sense, which has evolved during the series.
Little Women: Atlanta returns with a two-hour program block, beginning with the Little Women: Atlanta Kickoff Specialon January 22 at 9 PM ET/PT. Starting on January 29, the series will premiere 90-minute supersized episodes at 9 PM ET/PT every Friday night, followed by the all-new 30 minutes after show, Little Women: Atlanta Unfiltered, hosted by Loni Love (The Real).
