P!NK BEAUTIFUL TRAUMA WORLD TOUR HOUSTON, TEXAS

Last night, April 27, 2018, Houston, Texas showed up and showed out as Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter P!NK arrived and literally set the stage on fire, to say the least. And if that wasn’t enough, Cirque du Soleil should give P!NK a call in the near future. The flying trapeze routines alone are phenomenal. Seeing it on television is one thing, witnessing this acrobatic routine in person is a sight to behold.

Therefore if you’ve never attended a P!NK Concert, prepare to be mesmerized. Selling out arenas is the norm and the Toyota Center was packed with eager fans dressed in some of the cutest and most creative costuming or P!NK gear.

From beginning to end we were taken on a journey that was magical, colorful, wacky, and beautiful all at the same time. Creative Director, Baz Halpin (the mastermind behind Katy Perry’s visual Super Bowl performance), is credited as a key figure for the stage that captivates you as it is constantly changing through storytelling. The fact that I stood up the entire time of her show indicates that I thoroughly enjoyed this experience.

Girl Power also enthused itself in our hearts as P!NK reminded us that we are all pink on the inside, and it is our individuality that makes us all unique. All of the young girls in the audience received the real definition of beauty when P!NK shared a poignant story about her six-year-old daughter, and the self esteem issues children face at such a young age. The sentiment of, “Don’t Change” was expressed and very much needed for this new generation of future women.

P!NK, whose birth name is Alecia Beth Moore, proves that motherhood only makes you stronger in this entertainment world. As a mother of two children named Willow and Jameson, P!NK’s body looks amazing and one can only imagine the discipline it takes to prepare for a tour of this magnitude. Can you control your breathing and sing at the same time while flying through the air? No? Exactly.

And with a music career spawning a little over two decades, the Rolodex of hits never gets boring. The Beautiful Trauma Tour had the crowd going wild as P!NK sang some of her most popular tunes such as “Raise Your Glass” “So What” “Blow Me (One Last Kiss)” “Try” “Just Give Me A Reason” “Glitter in the Air” and the latest singles from her seventh studio album, “What About Us” and ”Beautiful Trauma.”

P!NK took us to church with ”I Am Here” and I felt every emotion in her body as she sang. It was quite a moving rendition. Eminem makes an appearance as a balloon doll and it is humorously perfect for the ”Revenge” song and quite befitting to represent him as an artist on this larger than life track. This is genius representation.

P!NK is authentically using her gifts for the greater good and remembers the day she said, “No matter what I did with my life, I was going to be true to myself.” P!NK is a totally awesome entertainer who is living her life out loud fearlessly, and we are all willing to take the ride with her. Bravo.

Night one of the Beautiful Trauma tour ended on a high note, and fans that missed this special performance can purchase tickets for tonight’s last performance in Houston on April 28, 2018, before they’re sold out. P!NK was originally scheduled to perform on Saturday, April 28 and Sunday, April 29. Sunday’s show was moved to Friday, April 27 due to the impending Houston Rockets NBA Playoffs at the Toyota Center.
