Super Bowl LV Team Practice Update

Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs participated in a Saturday morning walkthrough before boarding a mid afternoon flight to Tampa, Florida for Super Bowl LV. ⠀

Running back Darwin Thompson (illness) and Left tackle Daniel Kilgore (reserve/COVID-19) both completed walkthrough practice as well. Left Tackle Eric Fisher (torn Achilles’ tendon) supported from the sideline during practice.⠀

Linebackers/assistant outside linebackers coach Britt Reid, son of Head Coach Andy Reid, will not fly to Tampa nor be present for Super Bowl LV. It was reported on Thursday that Britt was involved in a multi-vehicle accident in which two young children were injured. The Chiefs have no further comment and are awaiting the investigation results. ⠀

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

With a current temperature of 73 degrees, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will complete a team walk-through practice today, and then board buses at their facility later in the afternoon for a short ride to a team hotel until Sunday, for Super Bowl LV. “They’re ready to roll. They’re ready to go,” Head Coach Bruce Arians said of his team.

Tight End Cameron Brate is listed as questionable for Super Bowl LV. Receiver Antonio Brown (knee injury) had full participation during Friday’s practice. Brown’s game day status is unknown at this time.
