I’m trying some new vegan items from the store to see if they match my flavor and vegan-ish lifestyle vibe. All of the items in this dish are vegan except for the cheese and the honey I drizzled over the cornbread. Watch the video below.
After playing around with these ingredients, my overall rating is meh or okay. Of course, I ate it all, but it didn’t wow me. The fun part of my vegan-ish journey is determining what I like and don’t like versus what I love or can’t stand using in my kitchen.
Nevertheless, my journey is here to encourage and help uplift those who feel as if transitioning to veganism is impossible. I am not a dietitian, nor am I giving advice. I am just sharing my experience of how you just have to figure out what works best for your palate and rock with it.
Also, after my three-month vitals checkup with my doctor, all is good with my eating experience since I’ve gone back to the vegan-ish lifestyle. My lousy cholesterol decreased, my sodium levels were beautiful, and my protein intake wasn’t inadequate. Cue the ball-drop music. But my sugar is getting out of control, and I don’t know what I’m willing to do yet. I love sweets😩. My journey to cut out the sugar will be a difficult challenge.
