Juliet from William Shakespeare’s play “Romeo & Juliet” will testify that a person’s name is just an outer shell that encompasses our true self. It’s the inner character, drive, and personality of a human being that determines our greatness. So I asked myself, “What’s in an NFL Draft name, by any other sport would smell as sweet?”
On April 27-29, 2017 in Philadelphia, PA the 82nd NFL Draft took place and lives were changed as Commissioner Roger Goodell and others announced the new class of men for the American football realm. 22 prospects and 14 college head coaches attended the actual ceremony in Philadelphia, while all other hopefuls patiently awaited their fate at home or a special location surrounded by family and friends.

On April 27, 2017, one of my dreams for the Houston Texans became a reality when the organization selected Clemson University Quarterback, Deshaun Watson, during the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft. As I stated in a previous post, I had a feeling the Texans were going to draft a QB in the first round due to all the variables that fell into place, and what an awesome pick it was indeed. The City of Houston and Texans fans abroad are excited to see the development of this young man take forth once the new NFL season begins. It is being reported that Deshaun Watson will wear the number four, which is the same jersey number he wore in college.
Overall the 2017 NFL Draft was quite eventful to watch as the players showed various emotions and wore custom made suit designs. View some of my favorite and most memorable moments below.
