BET PRESENTS: 2017 SOUL TRAIN AWARDS HOSTED BY ERYKAH BADU

The 2017 Soul Train Awards did not disappoint the audience and viewers as the performers lit up the stage with classic R&B, Soul, and Hip-Hop hits new and old. The awards show, which aired tonight, November 26th, 2017 at 8pm ET on BET and BET HER, was again hosted by the otherworldly Godmother of Soul, Erykah Badu, who also brought her creative forces to the show as writer and producer.

Moments from the show that I thoroughly enjoyed were the 112 performance, The fantastic “Soul Cypher” featuring DJ Erykah Badu and vocal powerhouses Faith Evans, Fantasia, Bilal and Mali Music .

Tony Braxton brought back so many fond memories as we all sang along with her performing classics including, “Love Shoulda Brought You Home,” “You’re Making Me High,” and “He Wasn’t Man Enough for Me.”

As the show neared its end, Kirk Franklin led an inspirational performance alongside MAJOR., Le’Andria Johnson, Daniel Caeser and Ledisito remind us that we must continue to fight on in making the world a better place.
