It is with sincere gratitude and sadness that we report the passing of legendary musician and philanthropist, Dolly Parton, has passed away at the age of 80-years-old. People magazine has reported and published with permission from the family that Dolly died from a brief battle with cancer.

My girl has gone on to be with the Lord, her husband Carl, and eternal family. This one hurts. I love Dolly because she was unapologetically a Sparkle Queen who lived her life to the fullest, and she didn’t take no mess!
Dolly continuously gave back to communities across the world by providing at least 332,411,218 free books to children through her Imagination Station program. Dolly’s philanthropic program and passion for literacy has helped many youth grow up to become successful readers too. And I’m most certainly sure this endeavor will live on. Dolly, you fought a good fight and you won the race. May you rest in the eternal arms of God above.
