On Monday, January 21st at 9PM ET/PT BET News will premiere a new original documentary titled, “Martin: The Legacy of a King” to commemorate a leader who died so that freedom could soar.
Directed and produced by NAACP Image Award-winning duo, Coodie & Chike (“Ali: The People’s Champ”), this 1-hour film offers a powerful look into Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s life as a leader and champion of the Civil Rights Movement at the height of its existence, and the impact of his legacy since his untimely death.
“Martin: The Legacy of a King” is narrated by Grammy Award winning poet, J. Ivy, and features testimony from Rev. Al Sharpton, Rev. Jesse Jackson, Rev. William Barber, actress Amanda Seales, comedian Deon Cole, actor Laz Alonzo, actor Andre Holland, actor Rotimi, rapper/poet Rapsody, rapper Vic Mensa, rapper LeCrae, author and activist Patrisse Cullors.
Dr. King will forever and always be known as a trailblazer who was rooted and grounded in love.
