It is with my utmost delight that I share this R & B classic remake, “Secret Garden,” featuring Sisqo, Raheem DeVaughn, Shawn Stockman, and Omar Wilson for streaming and downloading on all platforms.

You may remember Quincy Jones’ 1989 album titled Back on the Block that featured the song “The Secret Garden (Sweet Seduction Suite) with legendary artists Al B. Sure, James Ingram, El Debarge, and Barry White. These gentlemen offered their smooth vocals to this track, written by Quincy Jones, Siedah Garrett, Rod Temperton, and El Debarge. I was a youngin at the time when this came out, but my ears were thoroughly impressed.

And now, we have an all-star group of R&B artists offering their take for the ladies in the 21st Century. In a recent Rolling Stones interview, it is mentioned that the four singers are careful to stay faithful to Jones’s original arrangement.

Arika Kane, Lou Humphrey, and Jasmon Joyner served as producers on the new version of the “The Secret Garden” track, keeping the unhurried tempo and gently probing guitars, adding only some new thunk in the drums and a hint of programmed hi-hats.

“I am extremely excited to be part of a Quincy Jones classic originally performed by legendary artists like Al B Sure, James Ingram, El DeBarge, and Barry White. This was a no-brainer for me,” says Sisqo.
