The moment we’ve all been waiting for has arrived. We now know the two teams that will be competing for the Super Bowl 50 title. Although I am a Houston Texans fan, I have grown to love these two teams in my own special way.
Denver Broncos
What can I say, I have a lot of love for Gary Kubiak (Head Coach) and Wade “Bum” Phillips (Defensive Coordinator). These men really created an awesome culture for the Texans fans here in Houston. Although they didn’t have the opportunity to take our team to the top, it’s refreshing to see them both successful with another franchise. I won’t lie and say it doesn’t hurt, but it’s well deserved.
With Gary and Wade, there is a total of eight former Houston Texans coaches on the Denver Broncos staff, and five former Texans players on the roster to boast. So wow, I can vicariously live through the Broncos to experience the joy of seeing your NFL team in the Super Bowl.
Carolina Panthers
I adore Cam Newton. I also admire his dimples and the eclectic style he represents on and off the field. To notice how his team started from the bottom last year, and made their way to the top is remarkable. Perseverance, determination, and teamwork played a significant role in this team’s achievement. No one really predicted the Panthers to make it this far. The Broncos maybe, but the Panthers? Nope. These underdogs were waiting to showcase what we’ve dismissed all along.
Super Bowl 50 Prediction
Although I really don’t want to pick sides, I say may the best team win. It would be cool to see Peyton Manning win his second and final Super Bowl ring before he retires? If that is what he desires and I believe it’s time for Peyton to relax.
It would also be fantastic to see Cam Newton win his first Super Bowl ring during the same season his first child was born. A poignant and favorable moment in time that he shall never forget.
Just watching the defense matchup alone will make for an exciting game. The saying is true and never fails, offense secures points but defense wins championships. Are you ready for some football? I am!
