Who Want The Smoke? : Inhale Confidence & Release Your Authenticity

There’s a simplified beauty in knowing who you are outside of the typical roles and titles placed on us in society. We always live in a world filled with varied methods and voices, urging us not to live our truth. Whether we agree or not, people are entitled to live out loud uninhibitedly.

In the African-American culture, a vernacular statement can take on a whole new meaning when applied in impactful situations. For example, when rapper Lil Yachty came out with the song, “Who Want The Smoke?” it was an outcry that anyone willing to step up to him and face the consequences could get it.

So, being the always thinking outside of the box individual that I am, it had me thinking, what if we applied that same meaning to walking out our authenticity in life? When we walk around confidently and do not allow others’ opinions to determine our worth, authenticity is released in its purest form to reveal our real character, spirit, and personality.

Anyone willing to belittle your effort or undermine your actions towards being a legitimate force to be reckoned with can get the smoke. Don’t you dare allow another moment or opportunity to make you feel unworthy of all you desire! In this New Year, let us all be reminded to inhale confidence to exhale the gift, talent, brilliance, entrepreneurial activities, and more that can change the world and make it a better place.

The next time someone steps to you with negative vibes, kindly remind and show them that they too can get this smoke of confidence that burns amazingly within. And if they reply, “I want all the smoke!” Let ’em know it will cost them their pride and vulnerability to recognize the inner work that must be done to find peace like a river.

May we all set the world ablaze and bring the heat that will transform us into another successful dimension.
